In a cave

One day when I was 2 or 3, I went to a cave. At the entrance there were 8 steps going down. I saw lots of stalactites and stalagmites, then we went deeper into the cave. I saw a spiraling staircase made of rock going up. It isn't a real spiral staircase, it is a stalagmite about 20 feet tall. We went past that and saw some crystals. It was amazing! I don't really remember much after that except we went to this pool of icy water and someone flashed a red light and I tried to catch it. It kept flicking off so I couldn't catch it and then appeared on another space. That is all I remember.

In the library

In the Boulder Public Library they have a fishtank with one not-so-ordinary fish. It turns out not only fish food is on the menu; the not-so-ordinary fish eats more than just fish food. It also eats other fish!

I gave fice of the fishs in the tank names. The one I just talked about is called Shark. Shark is brown. I also named his victims Wood and Stripe. Wood's dorsal fin looks like a piece of bark chipped off a tree. Stripe's dorsal fin has a hole in it that looks like a stripe. Two other fishes in the tank that didn't fall victims of Shark are called Knight, because he is very brave, abd Giant, because he is almost as big as Shark.

Shark has sharp teeth and an eye that is half an inch wide. Giant has an eye just like Shark. In fact, Giant is almost just like Shark except for two things: He doesn't have sharp teeth and he isn't brown. That's how I can tell which fish is which.

Arctic Adventure

One day at school, at recess, I had an imaginary Arctic Adventure. There was a giant octopus trying to catch me with its tentacles. The tentacles sprung out from footprints and patches with no snow. Then one time when I hopped away from a tentacle, the snow cracked. I pretended it was an Arctic earthquake. It felt like an earthquake too. Anthony asked if he could play. I told him to not step on footprints and make as less footprints as he could, but it was hard because he had boots. Then I dared myself to walk on a pile of snow which was the octopus' head. I saw the octopus' mouth (mound of snow with hole in it). Then Anthony threw a fake sandwich into the octopus' mouth. The octopus' huge tentacles went out to grab us and we ran away towards the fence. Then the school bell rang and Anthony didn't know it was ours so he stayed there and when he saw the line he rushed to join.
